  • Before you pray, spend a moment to fully understand what it is you are about to do, and Who you are praying to. The reward of prayer is determined by our level of consciousness in it. Which is why the Prophet (pbuh) said that some people pray and nothing of good is recorded for them. He also told one who prayed quickly to repeat his prayer because he hadn’t prayed.   • Avoiding anger for the sake of Allaah is a sign of the people of Paradise. Abud-Dardaa related that on one occasion he asked the Prophet (pbuh), “Messenger of Allaah, show me a deed which will put me in paradise.” Prophet (pbuh) replied, “Don’t get angry and paradise will be yours."Majma’ az-Zawaa'id, vol. 8, p. 70

  • Indeed no matter whatever you lose, but do not lose Allah, seek His countenance, day in and day out.“And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect.” (Noble Qur'an 18:28)
