Pleasing one’s mother is regarded as part of pleasing Allah. Islam tells us that Paradise lies at the mother’s feet, i.e. that the best way to reach Paradise is through one’s mother. And Islam forbids disobeying one’s mother or making her angry, even by saying a mild word of disrespect. The mother’s rights are greater than those of the father, and the duty to take care of her grows greater as the mother grows older and weaker.

Indeed it is important that we remain mindful of Allah all the time by mentioning and contemplating his beautiful names and sublime attributes. This God-consciousness provides solace in times of sorrow, reassurance in times of fear, strength in times of weakness, sufficiency in times of want. Allah is the source of honor and strength that never wavers and that knows no limit.

One day you will thank Allah for that closed door. You will be grateful that things did not work out the way you wanted them to. For Allah’s plans are always better than our wishes.
Allah said in the Qur'aan, “Perhaps you may dislike something which is good for you, and like something which is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not.” (2:216)

Indeed Allah is the Most Merciful. He doesn’t take us to task immediately, but pardons much of our mistakes.
“And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much.” (Noble Qur'an: 42:30)
We ask Allaah to bless us by enabling us to submit completely to Him, and to make us among His sincere slaves and close friends, for He is All-hearing, Ever-Near and Ever-Responsive.

Indeed “Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.” (Noble Qur'an: 57:21)

Allah is capable of creating and opening for you doors of opportunity that didn’t exist, for He is al-Fattaah (The Opener)! So trust Him, beg Him and call out to Him alone. For surely it is He alone who can provide!
“If Allah should aid you, no one can overcome you; but if He should forsake you, who is there that can aid you after Him? And upon Allah let the believers rely.” [3:160]

Only speak when your words are more beautiful than silence.
As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should either speak good things or remain silent.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

It was narrated from Shuraih that he asked ‘Aishah:
“Can a woman eat with her husband while she is menstruating? She said: 'Yes. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would call me to eat with him while I was menstruating. He would take a piece of bone on which some bits of meat were left and insist that I take it first, so I would nibble a little from it, then put it down. Then he would take it and nibble from it, and he would put his mouth where mine had been on the bone. Then he would ask for a drink and insist that I take it first before he drank from it. So I would take it and drink from it, then put it down, then he would take it and drink from it, putting his mouth where mine had been on the cup.’” [ Sunan an-Nasa'i]

Befriend Al-Quran: The best make-over artist in this world is the Quran. It cleanses the heart, entertains and teaches with its stories of war, conflict, love, patience, intrigue and mercy. It shows us what qualities we should aim for in our makeover and comforts us when we feel lonely and tired after a long day of trying hard. As a bonus, it becomes our only friend that will stay with us to hold our hands when we are alone and terrified in our graves. This Ramadan, befriend the Quran, by reading it and contemplating on what you are reading

Allah never abandons His sincere slaves. Seek His help and trust Him while obeying His commands. “And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allaah, then He will suffice him.” [al-Talaaq 65:2-3]
