It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?” The Prophet (pbuh) said, “By preventing him from oppressing others.” [Bukhari]

  • It’s our deeds that are going to be recorded and presented on the day of judgment. “So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account.” So he will be in a pleasant life - In an elevated garden.“ (Noble Qur'an 69:19-22) We ask Allah to make us amongst them. Ameen.

  • Parents need to be a good role model to their children. If you lie, curse, or act in an inappropriate manner, then do not be surprised to see your children acting just like you. If you notice something you dislike in the behaviour of your child/children, firstly, refer back to yourself and be honest and ask yourself, am I guilty of such an act? If so, work on bettering yourself first and then you will see the change in your child/children.

  • When we compare our times with the good old days, we find the past wins in all rounds and we’re forced to throw the towel in! Our houses are bigger but our families are smaller. Our possessions are more but our values are less. Our degrees are higher but our perception and intellect are narrower. We eat more but the benefit is less. Our contacts’ list is big but our relationships are worse. We have learnt how to earn a good living but we forgot in the process how to live well! We managed to travel to outer space but failed to cross the street to know our neighbors. We talk a lot without any benefit and we lie even more. We may laugh but in reality, we’re depressed most of the time. We stay up late but pray so little! Our weddings are extravagant while divorces are on the rise! I look at my children and I am worried and feel sorry for them. But then I remember, it is Allah who will take care of them.   • Rizq does not only refer to the wealth Allah blesses you with. Your health, spouse, children, good company, knowledge, skills, intelligence, etc. are all Rizq which Allah provides you with. So ask Him for pure Rizq, and be grateful to Him for all He has provided you with.
