“Whoever works righteousness — whether male or female — while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter)” [al-Nahl 16:97]

Be with someone who reminds you of Allah.
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so be careful whom you befriend.“ [Abu Daawood & Tirmithi]

Indeed the best way to please Allaah is to follow the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) as Allaah says:

“Say (O Muhammad to mankind): If you (really) love Allaah, then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur’aan and the Sunnah/prophetic teachings), Allaah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:31]

“He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given much good. And none will remember except those of understanding.” (Noble Qur'an 2:269)Understand the value of every moment. You are only born with a number of breaths. Make every breath count! Work to better your future - with Allah, for Allah.

It is very important to immediately repent from sins before they become rooted in our hearts.

Allah said, “Surely Allah will forgive those who ignorantly do sins and immediately turn back to Him in repentance…” (4:17)

Planning and Destiny - IOU Blog: Indeed never despair and never give up. Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Strive to do that which will benefit you and seek the help of Allaah, and do not feel helpless.” Narrated by Muslim, 2664. And Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything)” [al-Faatihah 1:5].

So you make your effort, and then you leave the rest to Allah. So you combine both, plan and trust in Allah that Allah knows best. What is best for us, we really do not know. We might think this is the best thing, and so we make our plan for it, but then Allah knows that that is not the best thing, so he gives you something else. We do not say why, why? No, we do not say why. We accept and we work with what Allah has destined. This is the proper approach.

“None is granted it except those who are patient — and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion (of happiness in the Hereafter, i.e., Paradise and of a high moral character) in this world” [Fussilat 41:35].

Your children have the right to be lead by your Islaamic example. One cannot just tell their children to do something while they themselves do not do it. Allah says in the Qur'an, ‘Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves.’ [Surah Al Baqarah, 2:44]

Islam is the final religion, and one of the most important characteristics of this religion is that it is a religion that regulates all aspects of life. Islam is the religion of this world and the Hereafter. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Say (O Muhammad): Verily, my Salaah (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allaah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists)” [al-An’aam 6:162]

whatever difficult situation you are in, do not worry, Allah is in control of that situation. Just rely upon Allah with resolute faith and by fulfilling obligatory duties and abstaining from prohibited matters.

“Say, "Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector.” And upon Allah let the believers rely.“ (Noble Qur'an 9:51)

“And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allaah, then He will suffice him.” [al-Talaaq 65:2-3]

Let’s beg Allah, submit to Him and call out to Him; He is the One Who always listens to our pleas! Let’s pour out what’s in our hearts; He is the One Who knows what’s in them. Let’s turn to our Lord, He never ever wastes our supplications!

Narrated by ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “When one of you eats some food, let him say Bismillah, and if he forgets to do so at the beginning, let him say Bismillah fi awwalihi wa aakhirihi (In the name of Allah at the beginning and end). Narrated by at-Tirmidhi, 1781; classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allah have mercy on him).

Make the people around you smile, whether you know them or not. To you it is just a smile but to them it’s something more than that because you don’t know what kind of trials they’ve battled in the past. Maybe their battles are ongoing, or maybe the pain of the past still goes on for them.Allah knows, and we do not know!

Make it a superhero action story night when you are telling them the stories of the Prophets or the Sahabas (companions of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him). Use how their adventures and characters make them one of the best superhero that ever lived.

The people of Quraish may not have known a lot about the Quran, but they knew one thing: the character of the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wa sallam. Just observing his character led them to the conclusion that what he’s calling to must be a Straight Path.

When asked about the Prophet’s (ﷺ) character, Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “Don’t you read the Qur’ân? The character of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was the Qur’ân”
    (Sahîh Muslim, Kitâb al-salât)
