Just rely upon Allah with resolute faith and by fulfilling obligatory duties and abstaining from prohibited matters. “Say, "Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector.” And upon Allah let the believers rely.“ (Noble Qur'an 9:51) “And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allaah, then He will suffice him.” [al-Talaaq 65:2-3]

Just observing his character led them to the conclusion that what he’s calling to must be a Straight Path. When asked about the Prophet’s (ﷺ) character, Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “Don’t you read the Qur’ân? The character of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was the Qur’ân” (Sahîh Muslim, Kitâb al-salât)

  • Du’aa’ is very important. It can change the Divine decree and relieve distress. It is beneficial with regard to what has been decreed and what has not been decreed. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Nothing can change the Divine decree except du’aa’. (Narrated by Ahmad, 5/677; Ibn Maajah, 90; al-Tirmidhi, 139. Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 76687. See also al-Saheehah, 145).

  • Patience is real and is maintained as long as we stay away from complaining to people, people who cannot do anything for us. But turning to Allah, it is acceptable. Because we found in Qur'an, Prophet Yaqub (peace be upon him) saying: “He said, "I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you do not know.” (Noble Qur'an: 12:86) after his sons had caused Yusuf (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to be lost, pretending that he has been killed by a wolf.

  • Allah hates sin and warns of punishment for it, He does not want His slaves to despair of His mercy. He likes the sinner to seek His forgiveness and repent to Him, but the shaytan (devil) likes it when despair fills a person’s heart and prevents him from repenting and turning to Allah. Anas Bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: “I heard the Messenger of Allah [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] say, “Allah the Almighty said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it”.” [Al-Tirmidhi, no. 3608]
